Linda Stevens came to the Glens and Kirriemuir Old Parish Church in 2004 as a probationary minister. On completing her ministry training she was ordained in January 2006 into the post of team minister for the West Angus Area Ministry (WAAM), based in the Glens and Kirriemuir Old Parish Church.
To this post Linda brings a varied background from her work in teams as a senior technical officer in the insurance industry, to her involvement in various voluntary organisations over the years. Prior to ministry training she spent 14 years bringing up her three children and caring for her parents.
Linda has continued to develop her ministry skills by studying to become a trained counsellor.
Her post as team minister builds on the foundation and ethos of team ministry that has been created in West Angus over the past few years. She also works in the parishes of WAAM in various capacities but principally in the building of relationships with young families. From this has stemmed a successful Messy Church which runs every two months in Kirriemuir Old Parish Church.
Linda is currently one of the pastoral advisors to Angus Presbytery.
She enjoys being with her family especially with her young grandsons, Sebastian and Harlyn. In her spare time she likes to read, go to the theatre and to continue building up her family tree.
