School Chaplaincy

Linda serves as Chaplain to Northmuir Primary School and Cortachy Primary School and has also led Assemblies in the Primary Schools in WAAM.  Malcolm is Chaplain to the Senior pupils [S5 / S6] of Webster’s High School.

Linda’s duties include …

Northmuir and Cortachy  Primaries:

·        leading assemblies regularly

·        attending other assemblies

·        teaching in the classroom

·        leading end of term services in the church and school

·        taking Northmuir P 3s into the KOP church to tell them about what we do in church. This is part of the 5-14 curriculum places of worship topic

·        contacting and supporting teachers

·        being involved with prize giving

·        attending social occasions e.g. concerts and  Scottish afternoon

·        being involved with annual poetry competition

·        participating in Primary / Secondary liaison

Linda also plans to …

·        take children to Cortachy Church to tell them about what we do in church

WAAM Schools

	visited Glenisla, Kilry, Lintrathen, Airlie, Newtyle and Eassie schools
	attended social events e.g. Glenisla school fundraising event and attended Newtyle school show

	lead assemblies at Glenisla, Kilry, Lintrathen & Airlie
	be involved with Christmas services where suitable

	visited at Northmuir, Cortachy, Lintrathen & Glenisla
	attended Glenisla and Lintrathen plays

	taking regular assemblies (now as part of a structured programme),
	having special discussions with S6
	having e mail contact with S6
	participating in school events (e.g. trip to Holyrood, Prizegiving),
	participating in school’s chaplaincy team
	participating in school staff discussion groups
	inviting the school  periodically to participate in church services
	contacting and supporting teachers
	developing a common understanding of Appreciative Inquiry
	supporting the establishment of global links.
